Transitioning to Your New Email Address: A Step-by-Step Guide

To set up your new email (@mainecc.edu), follow the instructions that will be sent to your @nmcc.edu email account. Once completed, ensure your @mainecc.edu account is fully accessible and functioning.
Important Dates
- Now through Fall 2024 Semester: Continue using your @nmcc.edu email and login credentials for all platforms, including email, MyNMCC, Brightspace, RAVE Alert System, and the NMCC Bookstore.
- Starting January 3, 2025: Transition entirely to your @mainecc.edu email and login for all accounts and platforms. Stay tuned for additional details on setting up new logins and passwords.

If another student shares your first and last name, a number will be added to differentiate your email addresses.The Anthology Student Portal is your central hub for accessing information and services within the Maine Community College System. It offers a user-friendly platform to view academic details, financial aid information, career services, and communication tools for connecting with staff and advisors.
Key features of the portal include:
- Campus Info: Access essential campus resources and updates.
- My Academics: Stay on top of your coursework, grades, and academic progress.
The portal is designed to streamline your college experience and keep you connected to the resources you need.
The transition to your new @mainecc.edu email account will begin the first week of January 2025. During the Fall 2024 semester, you will continue using your current @nmcc.edu email for familiar systems such as:
- MyNMCC Student Portal
- Brightspace
- RAVE
- Student App
- Barnes & Noble Bookstore
Starting with the Spring 2025 semester, your new @mainecc.edu email will be required for logging into all systems, including Brightspace, RAVE, and Barnes & Noble. It will also serve as your primary communication channel with faculty and staff.
To make the transition smoother, these accounts are being rolled out early, giving you time to adjust before the semester break. We strongly encourage you to connect with your academic advisor during pre-registration week or contact Information Technology Support (ITS) for assistance.
Key Dates:
- January 6, 2025: The Anthology Student Portal will launch, providing access to your student record, bills, registration, and more.
- Spring 2025: Your @mainecc.edu email becomes mandatory for all systems and communications.
Plan ahead to ensure a seamless transition, and don’t hesitate to reach out for help if needed.

Your old email account, along with its content (emails, calendars, Google Docs/OneDrive), will remain accessible until at least May 15, 2025. After this date, the account will be deactivated.
You’re being asked for a personal email, phone number, and security questions to help with account recovery. This information allows Microsoft 365 to verify your identity if you ever need to reset your password or recover your account.
