Members of the community connect with employers, exploring career opportunities.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The 2025 Northern Maine Community College (NMCC) Job Fair, held Thursday, March 27, provided a valuable platform for job seekers to explore employment opportunities across diverse industries. The annual event connected more than 500 job seekers with 75 employers.

Employers representing a wide range of industries, including healthcare, technology, manufacturing, hospitality and government, participated in the fair, showcasing the demand for skilled workers in various sectors. The event highlighted NMCC’s role in fostering connections between employers and job seekers to support the region’s economic growth.

In addition to NMCC students and community members, local high school students attended the fair, engaging with industry professionals and exploring potential career pathways. The event helped them understand the variety of opportunities available and provided a first-hand look at workforce needs.

“NMCC is proud to bring this event to campus so that students and community members can explore job opportunities,” said Cassie Rogeski, student support career specialist at the college. “There is great value in connecting employers with job seekers, especially for our soon-to-be graduates.”

For many students, the job fair was an eye-opening experience. Brooke Ivey, a current NMCC business administration student, stopped by between classes and was surprised by the opportunities. “I couldn’t believe how many employers were hiring—I think one even offered me a summer job,” she said. “There were a lot of flexible job options, too.”

Job fair attendees are encouraged to complete a brief survey to provide feedback and help improve future events. The survey is available by clicking HERE.

NMCC extends its appreciation to all participating employers, job seekers and community partners for their contributions to making the event a success.
